Macon Computer Repair Engineer - How to Properly Use Malwarebytes. - By: Marco Levesque
Thousands of computer users are affected by spyware on a daily basis. Many of computer users whom do not have the knowledge of how to properly clean their computer. The key to successfully removing spyware from your computer is using the correct tools.
I am a Computer Repair Engineer in Macon, Ga. and and have many years of knowledge cleaning infected computers. And from experience, by a long shot Malwarebytes is the most affective of anti-spyware software on the internet for cleaning your computer.
Notice: I am in no way affiliated to Malwarebytes. I personally use the application to clean my personal and client’s computers. And I know this is the best tool on the market for the task of removing spyware.
Malwarebytes is a free tool that should only be downloaded from their site or another reputable site. If you visit Google and enter for Malwarebytes you will be find the site. Once you are on the site click on the FREE version icon and download to your computer.
Once you downloaded the tool to your computer. You will want to install the tool. After you have installed the tool you will want to go to the update tab and complete an update before you scan your computer.
Once you have installed the tool you will want to go to the scan tab and then you will be presented with three options.
· Perform a quick scan
· Perform a full scan
· Perform a flash scan
When using the free version you will not be able to use the Perform a flash scan. I always use the Perform a quick scan option. The Perform a quick scan option is usually good enough for removing your computer of spyware.
The scan of your computer will vary in the amount of time it takes to complete. When Malwarebytes has completed you will be prompted with a summary of what spyware were found. Once you see the summary, all items will be selected for removal. Then you will select the “Remove All” button to finish the cleanup of infected items.
In some cases you will be prompted to restart your computer to finish the removal process. Once your computer has been rebooted your computer should have a clean and happy computer.
For future maintenance of my computer, I scan my computer once per month to make sure my anti-virus has not missed any unwanted spyware.
I hope you haven't found the experience too stressful and if the tutorial has been of some help please send me an email. Computer repair does not have to be a daunting task. It is just a matter of knowing the proper methods.
