Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition - By: JamesSmith
The Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition is one of Nike Dunks products for women, other similar products being the likes of the highly popular Womens Dunk High Asia St. Patrick's Day, the Womens Size Nike Dunks Liberty Fabric Pack, the Women Size High Premium Santa, among others. In spite of my having some skepticism as to what my experience with it would be like when I first purchased it some time ago, the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition has turned out to one of the most enchanting Dunks that I have gotten to use, in the process earning itself a place as my best casual wear shoe.
Although officially a 'high' dunk product, the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition is not a particular tall dunk, which makes it a suitable wear for you even if you are not a fan of very 'high' dunks. For starters, the sole on the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition is not particularly elevated/thick, which makes it a highly 'practical' shoe that one can 'rush around with.' The upper body of the shoe, too, start off quite low, with the region where the toes are made to go in on the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition being more or less flat, though the region traversed by the shoe's tongue, generally the central region of the shoe, does acquire some albeit gentle gradient, qualifying the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition for its classification as a 'high' Nike dunk.
At least three colors can be spotted on my particular pair of the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition: these being black (which, quite befittingly, colors the lower region of the sole which is in contact with the ground), then white, which colors the upper region of the sole which connects its to the shoe's body, and which also makes an appearance on a patch between the back end of the shoe and the tip of its tongue. To make it a Woman's shoe, naturally, some hue of pink is employed on the patch where the Nike tick on the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition starts off, and yet again on the shoelaces for Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition which by default come in that hue of pink. The Nike tick on this shoe is itself black colored, as is the shoe's tongue and some rather prominent regions on the shoe's main body.
As befits a shoe of its size, the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition comes with an 18-hole shoe-threading mechanism, though of course one has an option of leaving some of these shoe-lace holes unthreaded.
For the health conscious, there is the rather attractive fact about the Womens Dunk High SB Christmas Edition, namely that it is a well ventilated shoe, with a lot of ventilation holes on the front section of it where the toes are meant to go in, and a back-end design which leaves quite some room for entry of fresh air into the shoe.

The Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail is one of the Low Nike Dunk products, other similar products being the likes of the Nike Dunk Low SB ‘What the Dunk' Second Revolution, the Nike Dunk SB EMB 181 Brazil, the Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon, among many others. Of all these Nike Dunks Low products (and there are quite a good number of them), it is the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail that I have gotten most enchanted with, since I got the first opportunity to use it quite some time ago.
One of the most remarkable things about the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail is Nike's employment of color on it. True, only two colors, dark blue and cream come out prominently on it, but the way Nike contrasts them (with the blue coming out on most of the shoe's upper body, and with the cream only coming out on the shoe's Nike Tick, tongue and ‘front patch') nonetheless makes for a rather interesting contrast. And although the colors on the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail might come across as rather loud when worn with some types of outfits (which can be an alluring feature for some of us anyway), they can similarly come across as quite modest when worn with something like a blue jeans trouser, where they tend to merge remarkably well. The lower region of the sole of The Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail is painted cream, with the upper region of it, the region where it connects with the shoe's upper body being painted black, which contrasts remarkably well with the (mainly blue) shoe's upper bodywork.
As would be expected of a low dunk, the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail is more or less a flat shoe, though there is a rather gentle height gradient on the middle part of it (immediately after the region where the toes go in), but even this does not really rise very high: making The Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail the ideal shoe for you if you really abhor those very tall shoes.
The sole on the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail is quite thick though, but also quite flexible, which means that one can reasonably expect some durability out of it, as thick but flexible soles are regarded as the most resilient of all varieties.
For putting the shoe together, Nike has designed a shoe-lace mechanism, but not a very short one, as you would expect on a shoe of this modest size. In total, the Nike Dunks Low Pro SB – Gold Rail comes with some 7 or so pairs of shoelace holes (14 individual holes, that is), although you do of course have the option of not lacing some of these. By default, and to match with the rest of the shoe's color-work, the shoe laces on the Nike Low Pro SB – Gold Rail come in the same dark blue hue that adorn the rest of the shoe's body.

Nike Dunks 0160 - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunks 0160 is one of the increasingly popular members of the Nike Dunks 'High' products family, close relatives to it in that family being the likes of Nike Dunk 0161, 0162, 0166, the colorful Nike Dunks Channel Zero, the Nike Gucci Dunk High SB among many others. I must confess that I always wondered as to what people really found so attractive in high dunks, which I considered better worn by teenagers: before I got to use the Nike Dunks 0160, a shoe with which I have since gotten so enchanted with as for me to make it my favorite casual-wear shoe.
It is worthy mentioning, right from the outset, that the Nike 0160 is a truly tall shoe in the real sense of the word, so that if you have always searched for a 'high' dunk that really delivered on the promise of tallness, then the Nike Dunks 0160 would be just the shoe for you. Remarkably, the height of the Nike Dunks 0160 is achieved mainly through what one might call clever design on the upper body, because the sole of the shoe is really more less of the 'normal' thickness that one would expect in a dunk.
Anyone who really knows 'Nike' would expect them to exploit color to the fullest in their products, and this is just what they do on Nike 0160, where I can count at least half a dozen colors of this particular pair. This starts with the black, which is the color on the lower part of the sole (the part that is in contact with the ground). This black later makes another albeit very small appearance on the shoelaces; for Nike Dunks 0160 which by default come black.
Then there is white, prominently rendered on the upper part of the Nike 0160's sole, that is, the part of the sole which connects to the upper body. The upper body itself is mainly grey and navy blue, with the navy blue making a greater appearance of the two, and the grey patch only forming the basic structure on which the purple main body is 'hinged.' The colors don't end there, as there is red, which has the 'honor' of gracing the Nike tick on the Nike Dunks 0160, with yellow also getting a representation on this shoe, on another small Nike tick on the tip of the shoe's tongue, which also happens to be the highest point on the shoe. What is remarkable about Nike's employment of color on the Nike 0160 is the fact that a thoughtful choice of colors for the shoe sees the Nike Dunks 0160 come out as 6-color shoe, yet not too loud a shoe in terms of colors, hence still qualifying it as a suitable shoe when you want to acquire that 'casual-smart' look with it.
Nike seems to have a certain preference for the shoelace mechanism (over things like flaps) for tying mechanisms for its shoe products, and it is therefore not surprising that the Nike Dunks 0160 comes with such a shoe-lace mechanism for tying, and a long one as befits a shoe of its height, straddling a whopping 18+ holes over its course, although the user has the option of leaving some of these unthreaded.

Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunk SB Low – Lobster is one of the members of the Nike Dunks Low family, alongside the likes of the Nike Dunk SB Low 720 Degrees, Nike Dunk SB – Gore Tex, WNS Dunks Low Flower and many more. Now I have always been a fan of the higher to medium dunks, believing as I was that Dunks were supposed to be 'high' - and often wondering what it was that people found appealing in the lower dunks. That was, of course, before I got to use the Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster – with which I have since become thoroughly enchanted with, in the process getting to know the allure behind low dunks.
Although officially designated a 'low dunk' product, it is notable that the Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster does start out at quite some distance from the ground, thanks to its relatively high sole. Above the sole, though, the Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster is indeed quite a low shoe, bereft as it of the steep gradient that characterizes the mid to high Nike Dunk products. There is, of course, a gradient between where the shoe starts off (at the point where the fingers go in) and the 'tip of its tongue' though this is a relatively gentle gradient, which abates upon reaching the tip of the shoe's 'tongue' (where the shoe meets the shaft of the wearer's foot), falling quite sharply as we more towards the back, and then rising slightly at the very back end of the shoe, so that the region between the highest point of the shoe (the 'tip of its tongue' where the shoe meets the shaft of the wearer's foot) and the very back end of the shoe is quite arched.
On my particular pair of the Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster, I can identify at least three different colors. True, the shoe is primarily red, (with red forming most of upper body and the lower part of sole), but then black comes in quite prominently on the upper region of the sole (the region where the sole connects to the upper body), with white occurring on the 'frame' of the Nike tick on the shoe and on the shoe's tongue: in keeping with Nike's well known liberality with color, one would say.
For a tying mechanism, Nike here employs a shoe-lace – with up to 7 pairs of thread-able holes, though of course one can opt to leave some shoelace holes unthreaded depending on what they find more comfortable or more 'fashionable.'
For those who care about the long term health of their feet, there is the noteworthy fact that the Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster is quite a well ventilated shoe, with a lot of 'breather' holes on the front part of it (where the toes go in).
As would be expected of a modern times Nike product, the tick (which is supposed to be the mark of authenticity on the shoe) in Nike Dunk SB Low Lobster extends from the center of the shoe, to the back of it and all the way round to terminate with the sharp edge on the opposite end of the shoe.

Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty - By: JamesSmith
The Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is one of the most conspicuous members of the Nike Dunks for women family, which features other products like the Women Size Dunk Low 'What the Dunk,' the Womens Dunk High Pink Clay and the Womens Dunk High Black Lymon. Conspicuousness aside though, the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is the one Nike Dunks products that I have come to be most enchanted with since I got the opportunity to use it, in the process getting my eyes opened as to why the Nike Dunks for Women have always been so popular with various users.
For starters, the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is one of those unapologetically colorful shoes, so that if you fear standing out from a crowd, it would probably be a difficult wear for you. For those of us who don't mind that second look, though, the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is just the perfect Nike dunk, as this is definitely a shoe that one can't just ignore, however indifferent they happen to be with regard to foot-wear.
Beyond color, looking at its height, the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty would probably fall into the category of what are referred to as 'mid' Nike dunks, though its relatively thick (or high, depending on how you choose to look at it) sole does give it some illusion of height. Starting from a vantage point height-wise, thanks to that elevated sole, the shoe starts off at quite a low note on the front part of it, where the toes go in, which is probably just as it should be, if the utmost comfort of the wearer is to be ensured. The gradient does somewhat pick, though, towards the center of the shoe, though much gently than in the higher dunks, reaching a peak at the tip of the shoe's tongue, but then abating from that point, so that the very back end of the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is considerably low, which in my experience, does away with the difficulties that people often experience in putting on shoes whose back end is too high. Talking of t
he back-end, what sets the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty apart from other similar Nike dunks is that from the center of it (the highest point), the shoe acquires a consistent negative gradient, all the way to the back, whereas other Dunks tend to have their height gradients fall as you progress from the center backwards, but then pick just before the very back point, creating some sort of arch, which is lacking on the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty.
The Nike tick on the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty is a 'mid-blue' elongated affair, and this blue color is matched on the shoelaces on the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty which by default come blue, making the shoe a good match for a 'blue jeans' trouser – especially when you take into consideration the fact that the shoe also has a number of blue flowers on the rest of its colorful upper body.

Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon - By: JamesSmith
The Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon is one of the members of the fast growing 'Nike Dunks for Women' family, alongside the likes of the pristine Womens Nike Dunks Low White White, the Womens Nike Sportswear Dunk High Premium X Milkfed X Liberty, the Womens Size Dunks Low CL – Liberty, among many others. Of all Nike Womens Dunk products that I have gotten to use, though, I must confess that it is the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon that I have gotten most enchanted with, since I got to purchase it a few months ago.
The Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon probably also falls in the category of what are referred to as 'high' Dunk products, it being among the tallest dunks for women that I have ever seen. Indeed, the front part of the shoe, right from where the toes go in, up to the tip of the shoe's tongue (where the shoe meets the shaft of the wearer's foot), the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon comes with a very steep gradient, so that the only flat area of the shoe, as viewed externally, is the very small region where the toes go in. At its tallest point, the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon is probably more than a half an inch, making it among the tallest Dunks for women, and putting it in contention for the 'tallest dunk' honor even when the unisex and men's dunks are brought into focus. The sole of the shoe, however, is not particularly elevated/thick, meaning that for the most part, its superb height is achieved through ingenious design of its upper body.
Although labeled as a 'black lymon' shoe, black is not the only color that can be spotted on the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon. Other colors that get the 'honor' of gracing this rather huge shoe are cream, yellow and some hue of pink: all in line with Nike's well known flair for color. The Lymon black adorns most of the shoe's upper body, seemingly made from some sort of leather (read a promise of durability), with the cream adorning the upper region of the shoe's sole, the region where the sole borders the shoe's upper body, and with the shoe's lower sole coming in the earlier mentioned hue of pink, probably in a bid to infuse that feminine aspect. Yellow has the honor of being the color chosen to render the Nike tick on the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon.
As would be expected for a shoe of this height, there is a rather long shoelace arrangement, which starts off at the region just above where the toes are meant to go in, and goes all the way to the highest point of the shoe, the tip of the shoe's tongue where the shoe meets the wearer's foot-shaft (just like the arrangement on an army boot, one would say). Of course, unlike in a formal army boot, one does have the option of leaving some of the shoelace places unthreaded on the Womens Dunk High – Black Lymon, and 'nobody will ask you.'

Nike Dunks Low – Panda - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunks Low – Panda is the in the Nike Dunks Low family, where its other siblings include the likes of the popular Nike Dunk Low 6.0 Abyss Brickhouse, the Nike Dunk Low CL, the Nike Dunk Low Flame GS Edition, to name but a few of this rather extensive family. I have to confess, though, that of all previous Nike Dunk products that I have gotten to use before, it is the Nike Dunks Low – Panda with which I have gotten most enchanted with.
Color-wise, my particular Nike Dunks Low – Panda is in black and white rendition, with absolutely no other color in sight on the shoe; which is a remarkable fact since most Nike Dunks products tend to incorporate at least four colors on their body and sole. In this particular pair of Nike Dunks Low – Panda, Nike uses a pristine white sole, all the way up to the upper region of the sole (which in most other Nike products tend to be rendered in a different color from the lower region). The upper part of the shoe, on the other hand, is mainly black, with the white only coming in on the Nike tick and a small patch of the shoe that runs between the top of the shoe's 'tongue' and the back end of the shoe. Even the shoe laces on the Nike Dunks Low Panda are actually black.
Talking of Shoe laces, what sets apart the Nike Dunk Low – Panda from other low Nike products is the fact that it comes with a rather long 'shoe-lace configuration' (I recall its about a 18-hole affair), a clear departure from the trend on other Nike Dunk Low products where the threading mechanism tends to much shorter, with some coming with as few as 3 pairs of holes (6 holes in total). Of course, there is still the option of leaving some holes unthreaded if that's what you fancy.
Another feature that sets apart the Nike Dunk Low – Panda from most other Nike Dunk Low products (and indeed from most Nike Dunk products) is that it's lack of gradient, this being more or less of a flat shoe from the front to the back. This relative flatness, then, makes the Nike Dunk Low Panda a good product when you are looking to acquire that 'casual smart' look (like for the 'dress-down' days at the office), which most other products of its ilk tend to lack, qualifying for the 'casual' part of the equation but failing the 'smart' part of it.
As with most Nike products of modern times, the Nike tick on the Nike Dunk Low – Panda is an extended affair, start from somewhere towards the center of the shoe (as would be expected), and going all the way to the back of the shoe, and round the back to terminate at the other end of it.
In the final analysis, the Nike Dunk Low – Panda would make a great wear for the action-oriented person, inspired as it was, (according to Nike), by the popular 'Kung Fu Panda' movie.

Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom is one of the increasingly popular Low Nike Dunk products, alongside the likes of the Nike Dunks 9715, the Nike Dunks Premium Low (which comes in black, white or blue) and its close sibling, the Nike SBTG Dunk Lo Scapegoat, among many others. Of all low Nike Dunks that I have gotten to use (and they are quite a number so far), it is the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom that I have gotten most enchanted with.
One of the most remarkable facts about the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom is that it is an unapologetically colorful shoe. It is not all about the number of colors employed on this shoe (though at half a dozen, they are quite a handful), but rather the contrast created by them: considering, for instance, that the shoe's sole is itself adorned with two colors (a dark hue of yellow, almost gold on the lower region and white on the upper region of it), with black and white being the colors on the shoe's main body – where other quite loud colors, in the names of red and green also make an appearance, with gold (a bright hue of yellow) having the honor of adorning the Nike tick on the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom.
That the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom is a low dunk does not mean that it is absolutely bereft of a gradient. Indeed there is one starting off immediately after the region where the toes go in, and which goes all the way along the mid section of the shoe, along the shoe's tongue all the way to its tip at the point where the shaft of the wearer is supposed to get into contact with the shoe, and which is also the shoe's highest point. What makes the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom a 'low dunk,' though, is the fact that this gradient is rather gentle, and also the fact that the gradient, after abating upon reaching the highest point (at the tip of the tongue), picks up again shortly towards the back end of the shoe, so that the very back end of it is almost as tall as the highest point of it, as at the tip of the tongue.
The sole that Nike employs on the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom is the hardy type, which from my experience tends to last long: if you use shoes till the sole starts getting eroded, that is.
The 'golden' Nike tick on the Nike Dunk X SBTG Royale Rat Pack 2008 Custom is, in keeping with the trend in its 'latter' products, elongated all the way to the very back end of the shoe, and all the way round the back to get terminated with the 'sharp' tip on the opposite side of the shoe, so that from whatever angle a person gets to view you, it is clear that you are on a genuine Nike dunk.

Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon - By: JamesSmith
The Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon is a member of the 'Low' Nike Dunks family, with other related members in the family being the likes of the Nike Dunk SB Premium Low (New Castle Edition), the Nike Dunk SB Low 720 Degrees and the Nike Dunk SB EMB 181 Brazil, to name but a few of other members of this rather extensive family. Of all Low Nike products that I have gotten to use before, though, it is the Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon that I have gotten most enchanted with, and for good reason.
The Nike SB Low Custom Pigeon is not just a 'low' dunk by name, as it is indeed one of the lowest Nike Dunks products that I have ever gotten to see, making it an ideal wear for anyone who truly fancies wearing Dunks, but likes them low. Unlike most other 'Low' Nike dunk products, which go ahead to start off quite some distance from the ground (thanks to rather tall soles), the Nike Dunks SB Low Custom Pigeon's sole is a relatively 'normal-sized' affair, which adds to keep the shoe truly low in the real sense of the word. Talking of soles, it is notable that the sole on the Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon comes painted orange in color at the lowest region of it (just like a certain breed of pigeon's feet), with a grayish hue taking over on the upper region of the sole which connects the sole to the upper body.
Although the upper body of Nike SB Low Custom Pigeon is basically grey in color, at least 2 other colors can be identified at various parts of it (this in keeping with Nike's well known liberality with color), the other colors in question here being white (which dons the shoe laces) and the Nike 'tick' as well as orange (a carryover from the lower part of the sole, one would say), which makes a very brief appearance on the patch on the back end of the shoe between the region adjoining the shoe's tongue and the very back tip of the shoe.
For a shoe-tying mechanism, Nike opts to go the traditional shoelace way in the Nike Dunk SB Low Custom Pigeon; and the shoe lace here is quite short, as would be expected of a true 'low' dunk. Here we are looking at about 6 pairs of shoelace holes (about 12 holes in total), with yet still an option of leaving even some of these unthreaded.
The sole on the Nike Custom Pigeon seems to be of the hardy, yet quite flexible variety, which normally holds the promise of durability to those who get to use it.
For ventilation purposes, Nike Dunk Low Custom Pigeon comes with a set of well appointed 'breathing holes' on the front section of the shoe - appointed in such a way that while the pragmatist with identify them as 'breaking holes' the aesthetically-inclined will also be apt to see them as some sorts of 'designs' on the shoe.

Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague - By: JamesSmith
The Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague is one of the members of the Nike Dunks 'High' products, others in the same family being the likes of the Dunk High SB Custom Series 02 Pico Dos Sonhos, CZG, the Nike Dunk Dinosaur Junior and the Nike Dunk Hi Premium FC St. Pauli, among many others. Of all Nike Dunks 'High' products, though, it is the Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague that I have gotten to be most enchanted with, since I had the opportunity to use it.
For starters, the Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague is an unapologetically high shoe, towering as it does, at more than 3/4 of a foot at its highest point. The shoe starts of at a vantage point height-wise, of course, mainly thanks to its thick (and therefore elevated) sole. Although the front part of the shoe where the toes go in is made relatively flat (maybe in a bid to ensure the comfort of the wearer), it picks up a gradient immediately after the part where the toes go in, and raises steeply to its highest point towards the center of it, at the point where the shoe would ordinarily meet the wearer's foot-shaft, which is also the tip of the 'tongue' of the shoe. From this point, however, the height of the shoe does somewhat fall – again probably in an effort to ensure the utmost comfort of the wearer, so that the very back part of it, while still relatively high, is at least not as high as the area where the shoe meets the wearer's foot shaft.
Color-wise, at least 4 different colors can be identified on the Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague. In my particular pair of this shoe, for instance, there is a 'purplish' scheme that can be described as the shoe's main color by virtue of the prominent places on the shoe where it appears, although in overall terms, black has more presentation on the shoe than the said purple, occurring as it does on the soles of the shoe (the lower part of it, that is), and most of the shoe's front part. The presence of white on this shoe, however, cannot be underestimated: as white comes out prominently on the upper part of the sole, that is, the part where the sole gets connected to the upper body of the shoe.
Being such a tall shoe, it would be reasonable to expect the Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague to come with a rather lengthy shoelace affair, and in this respect it does not disappoint: coming as it does with a whopping 18-hole typing mechanism.
In keeping with its tradition in its new products (in a trend that is coming to be seen as the way of differentiating 'new' Nike shoe products from olden ones), the Nike Tick on the Custom Nike Dunk High SB Tigerflague is rather elongated, starting on a richly colored patch towards the center of the shoe, going all the way to the back of the shoe, and all the way round the back of the shoe to emerge at the opposite end of the shoe where it gets terminated.
